Australia is a country that boasts of a wide variety of flora and fauna; infact the country is a paradise for the nature as well as wild life lovers. There are countless National Parks in Australia that bears testimony to the rich treasure of wildlife and natural wonders of the country.

Most of the national parks are maintained by the Australian Federal & State Governments. Some of the parks are included in the list of world heritage site and apart from preserving wildlife; these parks also protect aboriginal cultural heritage sites and other non-indigenous historic places.

These parks are also sites of various activities like camping, fishing, canoeing, bushwalking, rock climbing, rappling, hang gliding, canyoning, mountain biking and whitewater rafting. National Parks in New South Wales and Victoria include many Ski fields. These ski fields offer you to ski, snowboard & tobbogan amongst unspoilt natural surroundings. Situated in Western Australia, in the East Kimberly region, Purnululu National Park is one of the most visited and enthralling geological landmarks in the state as well as the country. The park was included in the World heritage List in the year 2003.

The Purnululu National Park is a haven for wildlife lovers and is home to varieties of flora and fauna. The park also features some rare and endangered species like rainbow bee-eaters, nailtail and rock wallaby. The major attraction in the Purnululu National Park is the Bungle Bungle Range, which is spread over 45 000 hectares. The Purnululu Park boasts of a rich historical heritage; it is a site that reflects the aboriginal culture of Australia.

Kata Tjuta National Park is one of many sites in Australia that reflects the Aboriginal culture of the country. It is spread over a vast area of 126, 132 hectares and features a wide variety of flora and fauna. The whole place is replete with deep gorges and bewildering valleys and because of its natural wonders and cultural significance the park has been included in the World Heritage list. The whole park is looked after by the Aboriginals, known in the area as Anangus. One of the chief attractions of the park is the Uluru, which is the largest monolith in the world and it also nestles the Olgas, which is a collection of 36 huge rocks.
