DAY 01: Apt – Kruja

Arrival in APT. Please send us in advance the flight details. Meet with our english speaking local guide and driver, board the coach and transfer to Kruja hill town. After check in the hotel, enjoy the stay a short stroll to the ottoman bazaar. The welcome dinner at Panorama venue, will feature an introduction of local cuisine from the north Albania. DINNER not included (guide will give indications of the dinning venues to choose from) Accommodation and overnight in Kruja.

DAY 02: Kruja – Apollonia – Vlora

08:00 – Breakfast in the hotel. Morning tour of Kruja fortress. 11.00 Continue to Fier with stop en route to visit Ardenica Monastery and learn the story of its foundation, monks and the church. Enjoy lunch in one of the local restaurant, featuring traditional dishes. Drive to Apollonia archaeological site, driving through Fier city. The walking tour of the ancient Apollonian site includes the Encircling Wall, the monuments of Agonothetes, the Library, the Odeon, the Portico, the house with mosaics, Archeological museum and the Church of St. Mary.

DAY 03: Vlora - Saranda

08:00 – Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast in the hotel meet the group and continue to the city center for a brief walking tour, at the Independence Square and the old town.Drive to Orikum town. The panoramic tour includes the new town and the beach area.Continue driving along the high mountain and fascinated view of Albanian beauty and arriving to LLogara national park. Possibility for lunch in local restaurant and continue way to Albanian Riviera, passing by villages of Dhermi Himara, and Porto Palermo bay, with its long history buffs, from the Mediterranean pirates to the stronghold of Ali Pasha. Stop in Himara beach town for refreshments. Afternoon arrival in Saranda and check in hotel.Sightseeing of Saranda city will include the promenade, Ohnemois ruins and new Orthodox church.

DAY 04: Saranda – Butrinti – Saranda

09:00 - After breakfast in the hotel, meet the group and depart to Butrinti National park. This impressive walking tour will stir your imagination about the ancient word during the peak of the Roman power and the classical Greek mythology. Start with the Asclepius temple, theatre, Roman portico and baths, early Christian baptistery, byzantine basilica, defensive walls and their impressive gates.

DAY 05: Saranda - Gjirokastra

09:00 – After breakfast we have to depart to Gjirokastra. Arrival in Gjirokastra and start the city tour. Known for its unique architecture, this UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE, will offer something interesting for everyone. The highlights of the Old Town, include the castle, its weapons museum and breathtaking views, the bazaar area, the ethnographic museum.

DAY 06: Gjirokaster - Berat - Durres

08:00 – Breakfast in the hotel and depart to Berat city. Proceed to Berat castle. The walking tour will explore the ancient fortress, main gates, towers, orthodox churches, the typical architecture of the dwelling sites, bearing 2500 years of heritage and the tour of Onufri Museum, located within St. Mary’s church. After the tour board the bus and continue to Berat city center. After refreshment or optional lunch, continue with the panoramic tour of Berat old town. Visit Mangalem quarter known as the “City of windows one over another”, still preserving some elements of the Ottoman architecture of the dwelling places and narrow pathways with cobblestones. Visit the unique mosques, monastery and the newly build orthodox church.

Explore the ruins of town forum, roman baths, city centre, town hall, Roman Amphitheater, byzantine walls, Venetian tower and archaeological museum, a panoramic display of discoveries and urban planning of this once important city.

11:00 – Depart for city tour in Tirana. We shall explore the capital city of Albania, including some of the historical highlights, as city centre, Skenderbeg Statue, Et’hem bey mosque, Clock tower, Italian buildings and Martyr’s of the Nation Boulevard. Visit the ex-communist buildings, painted with vibrant colours and the expansion of city.
