While journeying you pass through Armenia’s forests, fortresses, Lake Sevan, mediaeval silk routes, contemporary cities and all over your way you get the opportunity to feel you are in an ancient land of prayer. This is because wherever you step, you encounter with miraculous cross-stones, ancient monasteries, churches and inspiring nature.

DAY 01 (B/L/-)THE CITY OF YEREVAN ARMENIAS CAPITAL

Meeting and greeting at hotel with a morning prayer.

Yerevan city tour (during the city tour the guests will be introduced to the history of Armenia and its capital Yerevan, which was founded in 782 BC)

Visiting the Matenadaran the depositary of 17000 pieces of ancient manuscripts (among which many hand-written bibles and evangels dating 10 centuries back).

Lunch at restaurant.

Visiting State History Museum of Armenia (the Museum has about 400000 exhibits, over 5000 of which are on a permanent display to present Armenia’s historical past to the visitors).

Visiting Holy Trinity Church of Yerevan (A wonderful piece of the modern architecture of Armenia resembling the unique 7th century Cathedral of Zvartnots. Here we will meet with the community of the Church and have a prayer of unity).

Overnight in Yerevan.


DAY 02(B/L/-)THE HOLY SPRING OF GEGHARD A CALL TO A NEW LIFE

Visiting St. Hripsime Church and Holy Etchmiadzin Cathedral known to be built on the place where Jesus descended in 301 (included in the UNESCO World Heritage List).

Visiting Etchmiadzin Cathedral Museum (relics of the Holy Lance (John 19:34) and a piece of Noahs Ark are kept here).

Visiting Alex and Marie Manoogian Museum with many important relics and exhibits pertaining to the Armenian Church and the Armenian people.

Lunch in Etchmiadzin.

Visiting the remnants of once glorious Zvartnots Cathedral (included in the UNESCO World Heritage List).

Visiting the Arch of Charents which opens a wonderful view of Mount Ararat (on the way to Geghard Monastery).

Visiting Geghard Cave Monastery (a wonderful peace of world architecture and craftsmanship, a spiritual centre which hosted the Holy Lance (John 19:34) for many centuries. The Monastery is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Here we will wash our hands, faces and sick parts of the body with water from the holy spring running inside the monastery and pray the God to enlighten and strengthen us for withstanding the temptations of the future).

Visiting the Fortress of Garni (with the ruins of medieval church and the classical ancient temple above the breathtaking Garni gorge).

Overnight in Yerevan.


DAY 03 (B/-/D)BLESSING FROM ALL-SAVIOUR


Visiting Holy Sign of the Cross Church in Aparan for a prayer (this is a 4th century basilica and currently is a home for a blossoming church parish).

Visiting Odzun Holy Mother of God Church of 4-6th centuries.
Note: Not available for 30 pax groups.

Lunch at restaurant.
Note: This lunch is not included in the price.

Visiting Sanahin Monastery (a medieval Armenian Monastery included in the UNESCO World Heritage List).

Visiting Haghpat Monastery and the miraculous All-Saviour Khachkar (a medieval Armenian Monastery included in the UNESCO World Heritage List). A prayer and service will be organized in the monastery.

Driving to Dilijan resort town.

Dinner at the hotel restaurant

Overnight in Dilijan.


DAY 05(B/L/-) MOUNTAINS, FORESTS, MONASTERIES...

Visiting Resort town of Dilijan and the Ethnographical Museum of Old Dilijan.

Visiting Haghartsin Monastery (a glorious monastery and educational centre raised in the mediaeval period).

Fish lunch in Sevan.

Visiting Monastery of Sevanavank (this medieval monastery is located on the hill of the Sevan Peninsula).

Visiting Monastic Complex of Kecharis (this 11th century monastery is located in the resort town of Tsakhkadzor and serves as an Episcopal seat of the Diocese of Kotayk).

Overnight in Yerevan.


DAY 05(B/L/-) MAGNIFICENT NORAVANK AND KHOR VIRAP MONASTERY

Visiting Monastic Complex of Noravank (The magnificent landscape of mountains and red cliffs surrounding the monastery display a beautiful array of colours from the sun's reflection).

Lunch near the Monastery.

Visiting Khor Virap Monastery (near the closest point to Biblical Mount Ararat (Genesis 8:4) within Armenian borders).

Free evening.

Overnight in Yerevan.


DAY 06(B/-/D) THE MONASTERY OF PSALMS

Free Morning.

Visiting Amberd Fortress 9-11th century fortress built on the slopes of mount Aragats at 2300 m above sea level.

Visiting Saghmosavank Monastery (Monastery of Psalms) built in 13th century on the gorge of River Kasakh.

Visiting Hovhannavank Monastery (Monastery of St. John) built during 4-13th centuries and founded by St. Gregory the Illuminator.

Traditional farewell dinner.
