Detail Information
Day 1.

Welcome to Cambodia. We pick you up from the airport and bring you to your hotel where we provide you more information about Cambodia and your tour. As we understand that travelling might have made you tired you can relax at the poolside with a cocktail.

In the afternoon our tour leader will pick you up from the hotel for a visit to the Angkor National Museum. After this we planned a stroll around the old town with its market. Then we call it a day and head back to your hotel where we can refresh with a dip in the swimming pool.

Day 2.

After breakfast, our guide and tuktuk (3 wheel motorbike with carriage) will take you to the famous Angkor Wat temple complex. Here we will visit the Angkor Wat temple, Bayon (Angkor Thom) and Ta Prohm where the movie Lara Croft Tomb Raider was filmed. These magnificent temples will give you an excellent introduction to the wonder of the Angkor period. After a long day visiting these ancient temples, we'll head back to the hotel where you can cool off in the pool.

Day 3.

In the morning we will pick you up, with our jeep, from your accommodation and inform you about the program of today. About 48 kilometers away from Siem Reap rests the Phnom Koulen National Park. The adventures feeling of going by jeep gives a different view on the authentic Cambodian countryside life style. Phnom Koulen is one of the most scenic and historically significant locations in the area. Phnom Koulen is considered a sacred mountain in Cambodia, of special religious significance to Hindus and Buddhists who come to the mountain in pilgrimage.

Most of our guests consider the reclining Buddha as the highlight of this tour. Then there is an area of Hindu lingas on the riverbed; though nothing as extensive as Kbal Spean. Above one of the most spectacular 2 waterfalls in Cambodia, there are a number of temple sites with carved animal figures. At the base of the falls is a large pool where we can go for a refreshing swim. Later in the afternoon we will head back by taking the outback dirt paths and might even witness dense jungles. In the late afternoon or early evening we will reach your accommodation in Siem Reap.

Day 4.

In the morning we will visit the mysterious 12th century temple in the middle of the jungle in Beng Melea. This temple is heavily overrun by vegetation, like tress, vines and moss. After this we continue to the largest floating village of Kampong Kleang. During the dry season you can walk between the stilts on which the houses are built, rising up to 10 meters in the air. In the wet season the lake reaches peak level and water rises till one or two meters of the building floors. You will enjoy a boat tour through the village and have the chance to meet the locals. Later we will have a short jeep ride back to your hotel.

Day 5.

During the wet season, we can take the boat from Siem Reap to Battambang, leaving Angkor Spirit Palace Hotel at around 6 a.m. The boat takes anything between 5 to 8 hours, depending on the water level of the river. Along the trip on the river you’ll experience breathtaking scenery. You will be picked up at the pier by a representative of Cambodia Travel Partner, who will take you to your hotel. If the water level is too low, e.g. in the dry season, the trip to Battambang will be by taxi.

Day 6.

Today, staying in the vicinity of Battambang, a local guide will take you to the 12th century Wat Banan mountain temple. There’s also the magnificent Lotus Pond on the foot of the mountain to admire. After this we’ll take a ride on the famous ‘must see’ bamboo train. Get ready to dismantle and rebuild your train as you encounter traffic on the single rail route whilst enjoying the amazing sceneries of one of the most beautiful provinces of Cambodia!

Day 7.

Day 7 brings a welcome day off where you can do as much as or as little as you choose - A day shopping in the city? Massage? A small local excursion or just lazy a day at the swimming pool with a good book?

Day 8.

We’ll leave Battambang for Phnom Penh today. The taxi takes about 4 hours to reach the capital of Cambodia and we’ll stop regularly for photos. In the late afternoon, we’ll visit the Tonle Sap River and enjoy its mesmerizing sunset. The riverside boulevard has countless restaurants and bars for you to visit.

Day 9.

In the morning, a tuktuk will take you to the Genocide museum Tuol Sleng. The site is a former high school, used as the notorious security prison S21 by the Khmer Rouge regime from 1975 to its fall in 1979. A short drive will take you to the Royal Palace, a complex of buildings which serves as the royal residency of the king of Cambodia. Here we can admire Khmer architecture in its purest form. Then we will ride out of town to visit Choeung EK, more commonly known as the Killing Fields, where thousands of people were brutally tortured and buried in a mass graves. On the way back to the hotel, we'll make a stop at one of the local markets.

Day 10

Today you will be free to explore Phnom Penh at leisure. You could book a boat ride on the Mekong River and a visit to Koh Dach Island, famous for their small-scale silk industry or just relax.

Day 11.

In the morning a taxi will pick you up from the hotel to transfer you to Sihanoukville, around 4 hours south from Phnom Penh. In the evening you’ll see the sunset and can have dinner on the beach.
