Khumbu is one of the well acknowledged in the world as a land of the Worlds tallest Mount Everest and the native place of Sherpa people; which is situated in the northeast in map of Nepal. Lukla, the entry door of Khumbu is reached by a flight from Kathmandu in twin otter aircraft. Only few hours trekking from highland of Lukla arrived to the entry point of Sangarmatha National Park and Namche Bazaar capital city and commercial center of Khumbu valley. Continue the journey through Tyangboche Monastery, situated below on the shadow of Ama Doblam (6.921 m), Gorap Shep is final camp of this trekking and in dawn hiking up to Kala Pattar (5.616 m), viewing Mt. Everest, rounded with other giants, Nupse, Lhotse and other snowy mountains. The journey returns the same way till Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.
Detail Information
DAY 01: ARRIVAL A KATHMANDU
Arrive in Kathmandu where you will be met at the airport entrance by our representative. You will be transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. Check in to Hotel. Rest and welcome dinner accompany by cultural dances. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 02: KATHMANDU - SIGHT SEEING.
Morning: The Great Stupa of Swayamvu, Ananda-Kuti Vihar and Kantipur Durbar Square including Hanuman Dhoka, the Malla Palace, Home of KUMARI---the Chaste Virgin Living Goddess. Lunch break.
Afternoon: Lalitpur Durbar Squire, Golden Temple, Mahaboudha Shrine, Aksheshwor Mahavihar, Ashoka Stupas, Patan Industrial Estate, Tibetan Refugee Site and Woolen Carpet Center. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 03: KATHMANDU - LUKLA - PHAKDING
Early morning transfer to Kathmandu airport to take flight to Lukla. After the 35 minutes early-morning flight to Lukla a half days trekking up the valley (approx. 3 hours) will bring you to Phakding, small settlement of Sherpa. Overnight at teahouse.

DAY 04: PHAKDING - NAMCHE BAZAAR
Today's trek follows the Dudh Kosi river through a number of villages into the Sagarmatha National Park and on to the confluence with the Bhote Kosi. After crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudh Kosi you begin the final stiff ascent to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at teahouse.

DAY 05: NAMCHE BAZAAR - REST DAY
This day in Namche is to allow for acclimatisation. There are a number of things for you to do during this time. A trip to the nearby national park headquarters is recommended for its great views of Ama Dablam, Everest and the Nuptse-Lhotse wall. On the way back you could also stop off for a look around the Sherpa Cultural Centre. For day trips you could trek to the villages of Kunde and Khumjung, visiting the Everest view hotel en route. Overnight at teahouse.

DAY 06: NAMCHE BAZAAR - TYANGBOCHE
After your acclimatisation at Namche you are back on trek again today as you continue your journey towards Everest. The day starts with some easy walking as the path contours around the valley before climbing again to reach the village of Tengboche. This is a relatively short day's trekking so you will have plenty of time to visit the Gompa for the evening prayer ceremony. Overnight at teahouse.

DAY 07: TYANGBOCHE - DINGBOCHE
An early start is recommended so that you can watch the sunrise behind Ama Dablam casting it's light over Everest before you start todays trek. Approx. 11/2 hours walking through stunning scenery brings you to
Pangboche. The trek continues though more beautiful scenery before you leave the tree-line behind and the scenery become more barren and rugged as you enter the domain of the high mountains and arrive at Dingboche nestled below the towering giant of Ama Dablam. Overnight at teahouse.

DAY 08: DINGBOCHE - REST DAY
Another acclimatisation day to spend at leisure in Dingboche. There are a number of excursions which you could take on this day such as an ascent of the ridge which stands behind Dingboche or the trek up the Imja Khola valley to Chukhung.

DAY 09: DINGBOCHE - LOBUCHE
Trek up open valleys, through the village of Tuglha and along side the Khumbu Glacier to reach the remote settlement of Lobuche. Overnight at teahouse.

DAY 10: LOBUCHE - GORAPSHEP
After trekking along the Khumbu Glacier you will eventually cross it to reach the lodges at Gorak Shep. You will enjoy your time with beautiful view of Himalayas. Overnight at teahouse.

DAY 11: GORAPSHEP - KALAPATTHAR - GORAPSHEP
From Gorapshep the route takes you to the top of Kala Patar for (weather permitting!) a spectacular mountain panorama crowned by Mount Everest including other neighboring High Himalayas. Return to Gorapshep. Overnight at teahouse.

DAY 12: GORAPSHEP - PHERICHE
Return trek from Gorapshep to Pheriche approximately 5 hours trekking along in route all the way descending. Overnight at teahouse.

DAY 13: PHERICHE - TYANGBOCHE
Return trek from Pheriche to Tyangboche approximately 4 hours trekking along in route descend to Dudh Koshi and gradually ascending. Overnight at teahouse.

DAY 14: TYANGBOCHE - NAMCHE BAZAAR
Return trek from Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar approximately 5 hours trekking along in route descend to Dudh Koshi and gradually ascending. Overnight at teahouse.

DAY 15: NAMCHE BAZAAR - LUKLA
Return trek from Namche Bazaar - Lukla approximately 6 hours trekking along with long descend to river and follow the river to Lukla. Overnight at teahouse.

DAY 16: LUKLA - KATHMANDU
Return flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. It is approximately 35 minutes flight. Arrival at Kathmandu airport and transfer to Hotel. Free day at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 17: KATHMANDU - SIGHT SEEING
Morning: Bhadgaon for Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Golden Gate, King Malla Statue, Fifty-Five Windowed Palace, Taleju Bhawani Temple, Titanic Bell, Toumadhi Square with NYATAPOUL Pagoda, Bhairav Temple, Pottery Square, Datta-Traya Square with Pujari-Math Temple and Peacock Window, Industrial Estate. Lunch break Afternoon: Boudha Stupa at Tibet Town, Charumati Shrine at Chabahil and Pashupati Nath Temple in Devpattan by the holy Bagmati River. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 18: DEPARTURE FROM KATHMANDU
Transfer to Kathmandu airport according to your flight time for your departure.
