Today we visit the largest intact volcanic crater in the world, the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. At more than 2,000 feet deep and 12 miles in diameter, the Ngorongoro Crater has one of the largest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. 30,000 animals make their home in this crater, making it an ideal place for sightings of the 'big 5' - lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard. We enjoy a picnic lunch in this truly world-class attraction, also known as the '8th Wonder of the World'. Our dinner and overnight stay is at the rustic Ngorongoro Crater Forest Tented Camp F/B

Day 6 NGORONGORO VIA OLDUVAI GORGE TO SERENGETI
We proceed to Olduvai Gorge, known as the 'Cradle of Mankind'. It was here, in the Great Rift Valley, that the remains of early hominids dating back 2 million years were uncovered. Afterwards, we visit the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world - Serengeti National Park. The word 'Serengeti' means 'endless plains', which describes the park's 5,600 square mile boundary. Yet for its sprawling area, the Serengeti does not disappoint when it comes to rich game-viewing. Annually, from May to December, millions of animals embark on a migration which brings them from central Serengeti to Kenya's Masai Mara and back again in an incredible spectacle. Even during the 'down-time', vast herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle roam here, along with groups of elephant, giraffe, and buffalo. As the lions, leopard, cheetah, hyenas and jackals stalk their meals, we enjoy a picnic lunch in this open arena. We return to the Serengeti Ikoma Safari Tented Lodge F/B for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 SERENGETI BALLOON SAFARI
Probably the most beautiful balloon flight in the word and the ultimate safari Experience. 5:00 am Serengeti Balloon Safari will collect you from your central Serengeti lodge or camp, and transfer you by Land rover to our launch site near Maasai Kopjes. Here you will meet your pilot, receive a briefing and watch the inflation of your balloon.
At dawn we take off, rising as the sun rises and float in whichever direction the winds of the morning take us. Your pilot can precisely control the altitude of your balloon: Some times flying at treetop height, sometimes lower, offering a unique perspective and great photograph opportunities of the wild life below. At other times he will ascend to 1000 or more to see the enormity and wonderful panorama of the Serengeti. From time to time the pilot must put more4 heat in to the balloon with the powerful whisper burners. In between these burns, there is silence a part from the natural sounds below. The flight is for about one hour depending on conditions, and eventually you must land. You celebrate in traditional manner with champagne (well, an excellent sparkling wine) before sitting down to a full English breakfast prepared and served in the bush in out of Africa style with bone china, linen table cloths, kings silver etc. After breakfast you receive you Serengeti Balloon certificate and we drive you back to serener lodge game viewing enrooted. 9:30 am arrive at serener ready to continue your days activities.
Space is limited.
