The Abuko Nature Reserve is situated in the luscious surroundings of the Gambia, West Africa. It is one of Gambia’s oldest and most prestigious reserves, home to 270 species of animals and hundreds of plants and trees. Field trips for students are available. You can also walk around the reserve to admire the trees, plants and animals and get a good work-out walking across 260 acres of land. A rare glimpse into an African nature reserve without mass amounts of tourists. The people there are friendly and the monkeys are adorable. Admission is cheap.
