Tamdil Lake in Aizwal District and Chhimtuipui River in Saiha District serve as perfect spots for travellers looking forward to angling opportunities. Tamdil Lake is said to have an abundance of fish species and prawns and is surrounded by dense tropical evergreen forests whereas Chhimtuipui River also offers Salmon, local trout and catfish to grab onto. Palak Lake lies in the southern region of Mizoram and consists of a variety of fish species like Mahseer and Trout. Don’t be surprised if you find crabs here as there are plenty of them in this lake. Other famous lakes for angling are the Rungdil and Rengdil Lakes which lie in the Aizwal District. Tlawang River in Kolasib, 142 kms away from Mizoram also makes a good fishing destination for anglers.
