Bakhchisaray is a town in Central Crimea, centre of the Bakhchisaray raion (district), best known as the former capital of the Crimean Khanate. Its main landmark is Hansaray, the only extant palace of the Crimean Khans, currently opened to tourists as a museum.


Bakhchisaray is the town of excursions. The main tourist attraction is Khan’s Palace. This is a must see for any visitor to the Crimea. The old part of the Bakhchisaray has retained a medieval atmosphere with it’s narrow and curved streets, as well as many other medieval attributes, including Khan’s Palace.
