Cameroon : Local Transport

Travelling within Cameroon can be done by air or by car. There are aiports in Bafoussam, Bamenda, Bertoua, Douala, Garoua, Maroua, Ngaoundéré and Yaoundé. More than 1,500 km, a railway line, the Transcamerounais runs across the contry from East to West and from Noth to South, it links Douala to Ngaoundere via Yaoundé, There is a regular minibus and bus service between the major urban centres. There are different types of taxis with varied fares as concerns movement in town. In village and urban centres, transportation is done by bush taxis. It is possible to rent cars with or without drivers.
