A visit to Courtenay and it’s sister communities of Comox and Cumberland ( together with other rural areas are known as the Comox Valley ) is a must for travellers looking to explore the natural wonders of Vancouver Island.

The area is a collection of rolling mountains, alpine meadows, rushing rivers, pristine lakes, lush forests, fertile farms and more than 40 parks, mid way up the east coast of Vancouver Island, two and a half hours by car north of Victoria.

It’s also a culturally rich destination with more artists per capita than anywhere else in Canada on Hornby and Denman islands, regular music, art and craft festivals.
