Dalmatia is the name that is used for the coastline of Croatia, stretching from Zadar and Istria in the north to Dubrovnik to the south. The coastline is dotted with historic towns. Combine that with a sunny climate and dozens and dozens of islands with secluded beaches and you have a dream holiday destination. Most of the area is covered by Dinaric Alps mountain ranges running from north-west to south-east.

The Adriatic Sea’s good water quality, along with the immense number of coves, islands and channels, makes Dalmatia an attractive place for nautical races and nautical tourism.

Dalmatia also includes several national parks that are tourist attractions: Paklenica karst river, Kornati archipelago, Krka river rapids and Mljet island.
