East London is a city on the southeast coast of South Africa, situated in the Eastern Cape Province . The city is situated on the Indian Ocean coast, between the Buffalo River, and the Nahoon River, and is the country’s only river port.
The main attraction for tourist here are: East London Aquarium, East London Zoo, East London Museum
Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve – It is located approximately 30 km north-east of East London, and is situated within an area of 100 km encompassing five different biomes in the wild coast region of South Africa’s Eastern Cape province. It is home to all of the Big Five game; namely lion, elephant, buffalo leopard and rhinoceros; as well as giraffe, zebra, a variety of antelope, and many other smaller species.
East London is a family city; many tourists from inland (fondly known as Vaalies because most are from the old Transvaal) come to East London to enjoy the mild temperatures and the fantastic beaches, surf spots and fishing. Some famous beaches are: Nahoon Beach, Nahoon Reef, Bonza Bay Beac, Eastern Beach, Cove Rock, Igoda Beach, Gonubie Main Beac, Black Rock and many more within 30min drive along the East Coast Resorts road.
