Funafuti is the capital city of Tuvalu and a popular tourist destination in the world. Every year, large number of travelers comes to Funafuti, Tuvalu to get a glimpse of its natural scenic beauty and many enchanting islets.
Tuvalus capital Funafuti is a tiny coral atoll, with the width of only about 20 meters at the narrowest parts. The greatest attraction on Funafuti is the beautiful Funafuti lagoon which is 14 kilometers wide and about 18 kilometers long and is excellent for enjoying swimming and snorkeling.
Funafuti Island has many captivating islets apart from Funafala. These islets are based on coral outcrops and most can be reached by boat or yachts from the island of Funafuti. They are just the ideal sites for scuba diving, snorkeling and swimming at any hours of the day.

The Funafuti International Airport is located on the Funafuti Island and facilities include a VIP lounge, bank, restaurant, snack bars, bars, chemist, Post Office and small shops. There are regular bus services and taxis available in front of the Funafuti International Airport. There is even a pick-up service to the Vaiaku Lagi hotel.
