Golden Golden is a town in central eastern British Columbia, Canada, located 262 kilometers west of Calgary, Alberta and east of Vancouver.

Golden is nestled in the Columbia Valley built around the confluence of the Columbia River and Kicking Horse River, surrounded by three different mountain ranges and five National Parks; Yoho National Park, Banff National Park, Jasper National Park, Glacier National Park, and Kootenay National Park.

Birdwatchers will like the slow float trips on the Columbia River through its wetlands, offering a chance to see Bald Eagles and Blue Herons, as well as the occasional bear or moose. Further downstream jetboat tours are being offered through the Columbia River Canyon.
