Grand Forks

The sleepy village of Grand Forks is a favorite spot for diners eager for a grand repast as they travel the back roads of darkest Columbia. The town is known for its pub-style trencherman eateries serving enormous portions of Columbian delicacies such as purrogies and cowbasa served with outsized utensils in honor of the town’s name. Grand Forks lies at the confluence of the Knife River and Spooner Creek, hence its title.

The greater Grand Forks area is home to a wide variety of wildlife that enjoy its semi-arid climate including the dried-up slug. Grand Forks is truly a paradise for the overweight naturalist.
