Located in the Hawke’s Bay Region Hasting is the administrative hub of the district of Hastings. The Hastings is situated at a distance of 20 Kilometers from the Napier. There are three centers in the districts of Hastings in New Zealand. These are Flaxmere, Hastings city and Havelock in the northern part. Hastings has earned a lot of fame as the Hawke’s Bay.

There are few rivers and streams in the suburb of the district. The region is famous for producing vineyards and orchards. The district is often known as Fruit Bowl of New Zealand.

The city is served by the Napier Airport. The airport is the commercial airport. There are domestic flights to the nearby region like Wellington, Hamilton, Tauranga, Palmerston North and a lot more. Railway is yet another mode of transportation.


The major sightseeing attractions in Hastings are Hawke’s Bay’s amusement Park and Splash Planet which is a water park. The tourists usually young children frequent the water park. The other places of attractions are Hastings Castle, Smugglers Adventure, Hastings from the cliffs and The Pier and a few more other places. The Hastings Castle is also known as Pevensey Castle.

The major Tourist Attractions in Hastings are the vineyards of the Hawke’s Bay which produces a wide range of wines . The region has 28 wineries and there are restaurants and bars too where you can taste the wines of the region.
