The city was founded in the Hellenistic period, sharing its name with nearby Mount Olympos. Its coins date back to the 2nd century BC. The city became one of the six leading cities of the Lycian federation. This is a backpacker destination which offers lots of fun, the hostel lifestyle in a treehouse environment.


See the ancient Chimera or perpetual flame on the side of the hills at night, and it is sometimes done in a tractor towed trailer! However, there is steep hill to walk to the site.

The Olympos village is located in the heart of the olympos coastal national park. The surrounding area offers best conditions for Trekking, Mountain biking, Canyoning, Rock climbing, Sea kayaking.
