Page is within sight of the Utah border, on the Colorado River at Glen Canyon Dam, the dam that creates Lake Powell. Surrounded by soaring red rock cliffs and mesas, Page is a great place for exploring many of the desert treasures of Northern Arizona.
Starting as a seedy dam construction camp, Page was established very recently. After the completion of the dam, the town fell on hard times as construction roughnecks pulled up their trailers and moved on. However, the growing popularity of the southwest as a place to relocate and retire has brought high property values and new development to the former construction camp.
With its scenic mesa top location and easy access to many outdoor recreation sites, the town has much to offer to the visitor and vacationer in the southwest.
