The miniature city Madurodam.

The picturesque village attracted many Dutch artists over the centuries, to paint the bomschuiten drawn up on the beach, or fishermen at work in the North Sea.

Scheveningen originally began as fishing port and in the harbour you will still find modern fish trawlers, the harbour itself is very nice to visit with plenty of restaurants and bars. Beach area varies from crowded for the young and hip (north of harbour) to more family oriented (south of harbour) Along the beach there is a boulevard which stretches from the harbour to north of the Pier with a lot of restaurants, bars etc.
