The Elephant Nature Park

Established in 1995 in Chiang Mai, the aim of the Elephant Nature Park is to provide a sanctuary and rescue centre for over 30 Asian pachyderms. In the scenic Mae Taeng Valley, the Park is one of the rare places in Thailand where elephants no longer work for humans. The park allows visitors to see elephants as they should be seen, roaming free in a picturesque and natural environment.

Throughout the day, visitors learn about the problems elephants face in Southeast Asia, as well as the changes advocated by the Park regarding their care, treatment, and training. By helping the park’s volunteers feed and bathe the elephants, guests will experience a true eco-tourisim adventure, unique for any visitor to Southeast Asia. As a non-profit organization, the cost of every visit directly supports the elephants.
