Some other famous trekking routes are Ooty – Parsons Valley – Mukkurthi Lake – Pandiar hills – Pykara falls – Madumalai Sanctuary. The trek is not very hard and you can enjoy the picturesque views of the Nilgiris too. Annamalai Hills make a complete trekking spot for tourists with a number of exciting trekking trails.

Kodaikanal too offers ideal sites for trekking which are Kodaikanal – Dolphin”s Nose – Vallagavi – Kumabakkarai and Kodai – Thopi Thooki Parai – Periyur – Periyakulam. Also Elagiri hills to Jalagambarai waterfalls is an easy trek and only takes a couple of hours to complete it. Trekkers have to be mentally and physically strong to be able to complete the task of trekking. You can hire trekking gear from the base camp. Carry sturdy pair of shoes and first aid kit.
