Tunisia, Morocco sign deals on transport cooperation

Tunisia and Morocco signed here Thursday two documents on cooperation in the areas of air and maritime transport.

The deals aim to cement the bilateral trade ties, enhance the maritime safety and upgrade cooperation in air transport.

The documents were signed by Tunisian Minister of Transport Abderrahim Zouari and Moroccan Minister of Equipment and Transport Karim Ghellab in a ceremony attended by prime ministers of Tunisia Mohamed Ghannouchi and Morocco Driss Jettou.

Jettou is leading a senior-level delegation on a visit to Tunisia to probe ways of strengthening the bilateral ties as well as international and regional issues of common concern.

As part of the visit Jettou mulled with Ghannouchi ways to activate the agreement on free trade zone and push forward the bilateral investment projects as well as enhance integration and partnership endeavors between the two North African countries.
